I'm not a designer. But I needed agency-quality creative work: brand systems, campaign assets, editorial content. So instead of hiring, I assembled a team. Ten AI agents across three pipelines, each with distinct roles, philosophies, and quality standards. The pursuit: raise the ceiling of creative output beyond what a non-designer can do alone, and see if it can compete with top freelancers and studios.
Most people build agents in their own image: clones of themselves. The output is flat. The same principles that make consulting teams effective apply here: role differentiation, clear handoffs, quality gates. Not ten generalists. A team.
"Invisible Architecture"
Systems thinker who identifies the underlying structure first, then shapes the surface. Approaches every brief like someone who's read Muller-Brockmann and also ships product at Figma. Allergic to AI-slop aesthetics.
"Precision and Restraint"
Codes with the precision of a typographer and the restraint of a Swiss designer. Every element placed has a reason. The HTML is both prototype and production artifact. No build step, no dependencies.
"Structural Integrity Through Evidence"
Works with measurements, not opinions. Every finding backed by a number or a screenshot. Catches the contrast failures, text clipping, and font-loading issues that break assets in the real world.
"Brand Immune System"
Precise, dispassionate, constructive. The last gate before anything ships. Runs an 8-point rubric audit every time. Catches what others miss: mismatched colors, wrong numbers, broken hierarchy.
"Earn the Read"
Sees the narrative arc before anyone else. Plans the sequence of realizations the audience should have. Recoils at SEO-first content mills and thought leader cosplay.
"The Argument First"
Loads a voice profile and disappears behind it. The reader hears the author, never the agent. Superpower: the disappearing act. The ghostwriting sounds more like you than you'd write yourself.
"Name the Drift"
Sees what's on the page, not what was intended. Two jobs: refine drafts and reshape across platforms. Makes the writer better, not the editor visible.
"Signal, Not Noise"
The one who says your 20-chart dashboard communicates nothing. Strips data to signal, makes every pixel earn its place. Both vision and execution: argues for why this encoding serves truth better.
"Hierarchy Is the Design"
Decides which charts go where, at what size, in what order. A dashboard with 20 metrics at equal weight communicates nothing. Has a library of proven layout patterns and deploys the right one for the data shape.
"Craft as Interface"
Cares about the difference between 200ms and 300ms transitions. Framework-fluent (SvelteKit, React, vanilla) but not framework-indifferent. Pushes back when the spec produces a worse experience.
The primary output of the agency. Seventeen campaigns for Enterpret's content marketing: blog heroes, social cards, diagrams, customer stories. Every asset moves through the full pipeline: Meridian briefs it, Pixel builds it, Scout audits it, Critic reviews it. The whole system is a Claude Code plugin. Clone the repo, open in Claude Code, and the team is ready to work.
Visual identity system for Enterpret, built end-to-end by the agent team. Living constellation canvas hero, scroll-driven dawn transitions, animated motifs, examples gallery. Eleven sections across night and day modes.
Instagram-style app for Claude Code feature requests, built on the Enterpret MCP server. Community feature voting and discovery.
Divergent concept generation. Taste interview, then 15-20 HTML concepts generated in parallel and presented in an interactive viewer. The visual ralph loop as a Claude Code skill.
Project retrospective engine. Scans campaign assets, traces concept lineage across iterations, generates a tree visualization and interactive timeline. 470 assets tracked across all campaigns.
Self-improving design loop inspired by Karpathy's approach to iterative AI refinement. Score, critique, redesign, rescore. First run improved a page from 5.9 to 9.3 out of 10 in five iterations. A Claude Code plugin that makes slides better while you sleep.
HTML-to-slides pipeline. Design slide decks as self-contained HTML, then export to presentation format. Claude Code plugin for building decks with full design system control and no formatting loss.
Single-player became multiplayer. The entire studio is packaged as a Claude Code plugin. Clone the repo, open in Claude Code, and you have a 10-agent creative team with three design systems, production pipelines, and quality gates. No setup. No configuration. The agents, skills, and brand knowledge load automatically.
